Public Safety Update/Summary of Incidents/November 16-22, 2009
16 November; 9:45am-2:15pm: A student reported the theft of his bicycle and helmet from the south end of the D building. The bike had been secured by a cable lock. The value of the bike and helmet is $320.00.
16 November; 1:05pm: A campus police officer observed a verbal confrontation in the west parking lot. A male and female student were arguing over the ownership of a cellular phone and apparently there had been a physical altercation between the two. A report was forwarded to the Dean of Students.
17 November; 3:58pm: Safety staff reported to the Testing Center on a report that a person was having a seizure. An EMT professional was assisting the person and follow-up fire/rescue personnel arrived. The individual was given a ride to Saint Joseph's for further evaluation/treatment.
18 November; 9:00am: While performing clinicals off- campus, a dental student sustained a needle stick to her finger. Medical attention was not required and the student noted that she would follow up with her physician.
NOTE: If you are planning a road trip over the holiday, ensure that your vehicle is thoroughly checked. Check the tires/pressure, wiper blades, and all fluid levels. Get plenty of sleep prior to the trip and make frequent rest stops. Be safe!
