Public Safety Update/Summary of Incidents/November 9-15, 2009

9-10 November; 3:00pm-7:30am:  A student reported that his bicycle was stolen from the bike rack located on the west side of the gymnasium.  The bicycle is valued at $280.00.

12 November; 3:05pm:  Safety staff responded to the cafeteria on a report of shoplifting.  A student was observed taking a beverage and leaving the cafeteria without paying for it.  When questioned by a campus police officer, the student admitted that he had not paid for the drink.  A report was filed and forwarded to the Dean of Students.

NOTE:  The holiday shopping season is upon us.  When shopping, place your purchases in the trunk or out of view until you get home.  Casual thieves will break into vehicles if valuables are observable by looking through vehicle windows.

NOTE:  Faculty members are encouraged to share the weekly updates with their students.
