We had a great meeting this week! Looks like we have the cRio put together and we are acquiring our 4 Jaguar speed controllers and our chassis that we ordered. We have a descent tool set now and are ready to move on our next build. Click here to see our new chassis that includes a direct Mecanum drive! We're looking at making a droid-type unit with a Mecanum drive system. This seems to be the consensus of the group. There has also been some interest in adding some type of a launcher that can be targeted to the robot, mounting a camera so it can be driven remotely and having an autonomous component to the programming so that it performs pre-programmed tasks. Please comment if you have additional or even better ideas for us.
This Tuesday we should be doing a lesson in basic electronics and then engaging in the design process. I look forward to seeing you there!
