Free Robotics Workshops thanks to team 1492 (in Tempe)



Arizona Community Robotics Team CAUTION (1492) is presenting it annual free pre-season FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) workshops that are open to the public. They will be held at ITT Technical Institute (5005 S Wendler Dr, Tempe, AZ) on Saturday afternoons from 1-3pm. The topics are:

November 7th - Introduction to FIRST - Introducing FIRST, the FRC Build Process, and Team CAUTION

November 14th - FRC Mechanical and Pneumatics Subsystems - components, tools, and skills (NOTE: There are also workshops from 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM at DeVry on Nov. 14, 2009.)

November 21st - FRC Programming and Controls - components, tools, and skills

We generally do a presentation for 15-45 minutes followed by a demonstration and/or some hands-on familiarization activities. Students, parents, teachers, and mentors who are new to FRC or who are considering joining and want to get an idea of what is involved in participating in the program are encouraged to attend.
